I graduated with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from William James College. I have a wide range of experience working with many different kinds of people. My respect and fascination with mental health started with my own personal journey and that of my family and sister, who struggled with an intense eating disorder when we were young. From there, I have helped patients and clients in many different settings and walks of life during and after my academic education. I worked with adolescent girls in a group home as a residential counselor, a staff clinician on an inpatient psychiatric hospital unit, a clinician in a college counseling center, and a psychotherapist at a community clinic helping clients ages 6 to 70 years of age. I love working with others and helping them to fulfill their personal and emotional goals.
When I'm not at Bloom Into Wellness:
I love spending time with my friends and family. I am a homebody mostly, but enjoy spending time outside anytime of the year (yes, even in the snow!). I enjoy scary books and movies and try to get out and see live music as much as possible.
My goal is to enjoy my time with the people I love (including myself!). Some days are laid back and others are packed! Mostly I'm happy to watch my son grow and learn, enjoy a good meal with my husband, and watch one of my shows at the end of the day.
Fun Facts About Me:
I have a background in design and try to be creative as much as possible. Also, I can't snap my fingers - seriously everyone has tried to teach me, it just can't be done.
